A 25-Year Family Journey

Since 1998, Olympian has been dedicated to baking products that people can trust and enjoy every day. From the beginning, the philosophy has been simple, use quality ingredients, uphold high standards, and create food that tastes as good as it looks.

Olympian started with traditional family recipes passed down through generations, with one aim: to deliver a taste of home in every bite. Over time, those recipes and product ranges have evolved, adapting to suit modern tastes and becoming a part of the mainstream market, while never losing their authentic roots.

What began in a small Melbourne kitchen has grown into a brand embraced by families, retailers, and communities across Australia. Every product is made with care, crafted for consistency and flavour, whether it’s biscuits, breads, or seasonal favourites, each bite reflects our commitment to quality.

As Olympian has expanded and adapted over the years, one promise has never changed: to deliver baked goods that bring joy to every occasion, big or small.

OUR JOURNEY

1998 – Olympian is Born

Olympian began with just four core product lines, supplying local delis and bakeries across Melbourne and Adelaide. From day one, our focus was on quality, consistency, and products that customers could truly enjoy.

2003 – Sweetloaf Launch

We introduced the Sweetloaf, a first of its kind in the bread market. Inspired by festive baking traditions, it quickly became a customer favourite and marked an exciting step forward for our brand.

2004 – First Manufacturing Facility

Growing demand led to the opening of our first dedicated manufacturing facility in Thomastown, giving us the capacity to scale production while maintaining our commitment to quality.

2005 – Rebrand & Expansion

The company underwent a rebrand, officially becoming Olympian Products. Alongside this, we expanded our product line and established a stronger identity in the Australian food market.

2010 – Woolworths Partnership

Olympian made its national retail debut with Woolworths, launching seasonal products that introduced our brand to a wider audience across Australia.

2015 – Coles Expansion

Partnership with Coles brought four new product lines to shelves nationwide. By 2022, our range had grown to nine items, reflecting customer demand and trust in our brand.

2016 – Industry Recognition

Olympian was awarded Best Selling Product in Coles Supermarkets’ International Category, a proud milestone that reinforced our reputation for quality and authenticity.

2018 – E-Commerce Launch

We launched our online store, allowing us to connect directly with customers across Australia and provide easier access to our full product range.

2020 – Gluten-Free Range

In response to evolving dietary needs, we introduced our gluten-free range — proving that dietary restrictions don’t mean compromising on flavour.

2023 – Costco Entry

Olympian entered Costco for the first time, extending our presence in the national retail market and reaching new customer segments.

2024 – First Export

We began exporting to New Zealand, marking the start of Olympian’s journey into international markets.
